Do you have any advice or tips on how to keep balanced and centered. I find that when playing fast with a lot of bass and hi hat feet... I get off balanced and it throws me off.
In one of your videos you asked people to send in songs they would like you to cover. You mentioned you would like to cover a number of songs in the up coming months. I can not find any of those. Were they ever done?
Hi Dan.....yes it was a few years ago but I received a number of requests. Many for Rush tunes and great drummer groups. I finally chose the song Vicarious from Tool. It's posted in the auditorium.
I like your lessons, and enjoying it. I am 62 years old ,play trombone as a profession since I was 18 ,and served in the israli army as a trombone player, 6 years ago I made a decision to make a living from playing drumms, which I wanted to play since I was 3 years old,I think that the problem is as you mentioned what not to play,if my target is to play songs with bands ,blues, jazz, I can spend now 20 years only to improve my technique with stick control and ted reed ,books ,the questions where ... Gregory.......I"m glad you didn't quit! After all you probably have another 58 years to play and perfect your technique! Good luck at that talent show. You have a while to prepare so you can really entertain them!!
Scott....thanks for the latest newsletter! Anyone who studied with Freddie Gruber was indeed fortunate. Nice shot with Glen Sobel....a great drummer. I have to tell you that since I have viewed your videos....and bought the 6 stroke roll video, my soloing capability has increased infinitely! I no longer cringe when my bandmates want me to solo during a gig. In fact, I welcome the chance. Thanks so much for this great site. Mark
