Scott,
I would love to hear "Kohoutek" played by Aynsley Dunbar of Journey from the 1975 album "Journey". They bass drum pattern sounds like triplets.
Thanks!

Frank Zappa's Drummer I think you are thinking of Terry Bozzio professor. He's Famous/Notable for playing "The Black Page" and the story behind the black page that was actually written by Zappa but translated into drum sheet music. Its extremely difficult if you have ever looked at it they call it the black page because of how man notes are jammed into this page. It was said that zappa held auditions and had whom ever tried out palay the black page and he said the first person ... Read More

OK Bill I got ya. I can tell you exactly what I was playing and always love to share details if it helps anyone. It was exactly one whole measure of 32nd note single strokes. I was accenting every 6 notes (which is why it may have seemed like I was playing triplets) for the first four groups of them. (making 24 hits so far) and then I did 2 groups of accenting every 4 notes (8 more notes making a total of 32 notes) . Once again, it was 32 alternate sticking notes in a row....all 32nd notes. and ... Read More
